Other treatments when starting Oralift:
This really depends on whether you have tense facial muscles or relaxed facial muscles. We have devised a test to check the state of your facial muscles and is called the touch test.
If you have tense facial muscles and suffer from signs of overuse when onboarding, it is likely that you have exhausted facial muscles and until they become healthy, it is advised not to use anything else apart from relaxation techniques to let the facial muscles become healthy.
Even wearing the Oralift just for a minute or two causes Micro trauma followed by healing. In these users controlling parafunctional habits is also very important.
However, if you have healthy muscles (i.e. had no signs of overuse and sure you don't clench) then there is no reason why you cannot continue using what you have been using in the past. In fact the different modalities may complement each other.
However to be on the safe side if you have no signs of overuse when onboarding, to make sure you have healthy facial muscles, please follow the protocol for at least the first two weeks, without any other treatment and then you can resume your usual routine.
So our advice is check the state of your facial muscles then decide. Remember the long term case histories show that Oralift can be used as a stand alone technique but at the same time combined with other techniques could give quicker and possibly even better results.
Of course if you do choose to introduce new treatments when first using Oralift then it is difficult for us to judge which is giving you the result.
Botox is also used to relax the muscles where wrinkles are forming on the face. Oralift can improve these by making the skin younger and relaxing the facial muscles. In a recent study it was shown that after 2 weeks of using Oralift, wrinkles reduced by 12.5% and skin elasticity improved by 20%. Skin improvement continues and in our earlier study, users even after 10 months reported that their skin had improved.
Other treatments prior to using Oralift:
If you use fillers, you can still use Oralift and you may find you need fillers less frequently.
If you are considering facial surgery, you should try Oralift first. if you have had surgery in the past, you will find Oralift will help prolong the results.
If you have had any facial surgeries, you can still use Oralift but you must keep an eye on signs of overuse and/or any thing you may not like that you can see changing.
