My Teeth never touch - will I benefit from Oralift?

In a relaxed resting position, the lips are typically together and the teeth are slightly apart. This small space between the upper and lower teeth at rest is known as the freeway space.

Some people are very aware that their teeth rarely or never touch except when chewing. Even in these cases, subtle patterns of muscle holding or tension may still be present.

Oralift does not rely on teeth touching to be effective. It works by providing a temporary neuromuscular cue that alters habitual muscle activity, even in individuals who already have minimal tooth contact.

When Oralift is worn, it gently changes the way the jaw muscles engage during that short period of use. Adaptation occurs during rest rather than through continuous pressure or forced positioning.

Responses vary between individuals. Some people who do not clench or grind still report noticing changes related to muscle relaxation and facial balance over time.

As always, short wear times followed by adequate rest are important, and individual tolerance should guide progression.
