My teeth are always touching the blocks
This is because your muscles have not relaxed, and it should get easier in time. Some people find meditating while wearing the device helps. Teeth touching the blocks is not a sign of overuse. The aim of the touch test is to set up a trigger in the brain to remind you that tooth contact is not necessary for normal function. As you progress, the number of touches when doing the touch test should ideally reduce. However, during times of stress you may find the touches increase. It can take years for some people before all tooth contact is stopped. If you are sure your teeth do not touch, then there is no need to do the touch test. |
